Robert Barham 81 of Godmersham was buried on Thursday 26 September 1895. In his 1891 Census, both Widowed, he and brother Thomas Barham residing together at Old Wives Lees, and still worked as Agricultural Labourers. Thomas 77 died a year after him and buried at nearby St Mary's, in Chilham on 4 December 1896

Robert was Baptised Boxing Day, 26 Dec 1813, at St Mary, Patrixbourne, Canterbury, son of Thomas & Lydia (nee Hughes) Barham. His parents, Agricultural Labourer Thomas Barham of Sandhurst, Kent and wife, Lydia Hughes of St Nicholas-at-Wade, Kent, had married at St Nicholas-at-Wade on 12 June 1810. They would have 9 children; Robert, William, Thomas, Arthur, Richard, Jane, Edward, George and Charles Barham

Aged 26, Robert married Mary Ann Young 25 of Eastling, nr Faversham, Kent at St Lawrence the Martyr, Godmersham on Saturday 19 Oct 1839. They would have 8 children; Lydia, Aaron, Robert, Emma Jane, Harriet, Ann 'Annie', Mary and Lewis Edward Barham. They made Godmersham their home with their children all Baptised at St Lawrence the Martyr

In 1881, Robert & Mary Ann lived at Branch Road Lodge House where Robert was a Carter on the Estate

Relationship: 1st Cousin 4x removed of husband, John Barham. He descends his Uncle, Arthur Barham 1789-1849 and Mary Fukes 1793-1827

Query: Lewis spelt Louis, but records show as Lewis? And daughter, Annie died at 12 in 1866, but records show as 1864?
