Cat was the son of Arl and Vinna Redd Lockhart. He was a lifelong resident of Half Way and a loyal friend to his community. Cat was an honorary member of the Half Way Lions Club and the Half Way FFA chapter, where he was a great auctioneer.
Cat was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Earl and Curtis Lockhart; and one sister-in-law Vera Lockhart. He is survived by his brother, Wayne Lockhart of Half Way; two sisters-in-law, Sue Lockhart Haas of Springfield and Dorothy Lockhart of Louisburg; three nieces, five nephews and a host of cousins.
Services were June 11 at Pitts Chapel in Bolivar with Pastor Roger Easter officiating. Burial followed at Reed Cemetary near Half Way.
Cat's family and the Half Way community will cherish all the memories that Cat has given them. There are memories that will last generations. We know Cat has a very special place in God's house. Cat was the life and spirit of Half Way and will be sadly missed by all.
Cat's pallbearers were Dewayne Lockhart, Roger Lockhart, Gary Lockhart, David Lockhart, Trenton Lockhart, and Rick Lemmon. Honorary Pallbearers were Hobert Redd and Larry Benedict.
