Daryl Wayne Folsom, 82, passed away unexpectedly on July 1, 2019 at Tacoma General Hospital. Daryl was born in Centralia, but moved to Aberdeen at a very early age. He graduated from Weatherwax High School in Aberdeen in 1954. He moved to Tacoma to attend Tacoma Technical School (now known as Bates) to study drafting.

Around that time he met and fell in love with Jeralee Weston of Shelton. They married in 1957 and settled down in Tacoma. Soon thereafter he began a 42-year career as a machinist at Boeing, retiring due to a stroke in 1999. Dad was a lifelong fan of sports and most recently of his beloved Mariners.

He spent considerable time and energy coaching Jodi's and Dwayne's sports teams as they grew up. During his retirement dad, could be heard at his grandkid's and great-grandkid's games, concerts, and performances. Mom and Dad were a constant presence at Jodi's and son-in-law Mike's softball games, each earning a team jersey in appreciation for their dedication to the team.

Daryl was known for his "dad" humor, quit wit, love and pride in his family, love of people, gardening, and an ever presence of jelly bellys in his pocket. He had a way with people─ making them feel special. He didn't care what their position in life or work was he would engage in fun banter with all that came in his path.

Daryl is preceded in death by parents, Charlotte and Harold Folsom, and son-in-law, Paul Lester.
