Funeral services celebrating the life of Terry Lane Belgard will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, July 12, 2019 in the chapel of Hixson Brothers, Alexandria with Reverend Mark Gorham officiating. Burial will be in Paul Cemetery, Lecompte, Louisiana.
The family requests that visitation be observed at Hixson Brothers, Alexandria Thursday, July 11, 2019 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. and continued Friday from 9:00 a.m. until time of service.
Mr. Belgard, 67, of Alexandria, passed from this life on Sunday, July 7, 2019 at CHRISTUS St. Frances Hospital.
Mr. Belgard was a member of Horseshoe Baptist Church, Alexandria. He was an avid fisher and hunter who enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Terry was always outgoing, friendly and ready to help people in need. He would do small engine repairs as a hobby.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Trave and Geraldine Gaines Belgard; brothers, Gerald Kent Belgard and Ronald Dean Belgard, and sister, Barbara Elaine Belgard Peterson.
Those left to cherish his memory include his brother, Lynn Belgard and wife, Linda; sister-in-law, Judy Belgard; nephews and nieces, Trent Belgard, Amber Belgard Durfee, Jacob and Katelyn Belgard, Eric and Stephanie Belgard, Robin and J.B. Buchanan, Amanda and J.P. Thibodeaux, and Rebecca Bottoms; 24 great nephews and nieces, and 2 great, great nephew and niece.
