Dorita "Rita" Judy, age 58, of Murfreesboro died Thursday at her home. She was a native of Bloomington, Illinois and a daughter of the late Frank and Dorothy Jane (Steers) Todd. She was also preceded in death by two sisters, Judy Thompson and Vicki Steers.

She is survived by her husband of 29 years, Steve Judy; a daughter Melissa Judy Hilgendorf and her husband Drew of Ft. Worth, TX; three step sons Steven Sherrod, Shaun Sherrod, and Matthew Sherrod and his wife Christina all of Oregon; two grandsons Jarrod Shores and Macintyer Sherrod; a cousin Marsha Doxey of Michigan; nieces and nephews, Mindie Steers, Amy, Sean, and Chris Thompson and their children along with several other loving family members.

Mrs. Judy was a member of Lighthouse Baptist Church and worked at City Wide Cash Services. While in Illinois, she was active in the Ladies Auxiliary of the Everett McClay VFW Post 1296 in Bloomington.

Visitation will be Wednesday from 4:00 pm until the time of Memorial services beginning at 6:00 pm at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. An online guestbook is available for Mrs. Judy at www.woodfinchapel.com
