Lois Vera Raines Allsep, 85, died Thursday, July 22, 2004, at Mariner Health Care of Seneca. She was born in Greenville County, the dauther of the late Stanley and Mamie (Witt) Raines. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Lasco Allsep; five brothers, Tom, Edward, Lawrence, Houston and Lewis Raines; four sisters, Sally R. Crumpton, Laura R. Ridgeway, Lone R. Steadman and Grace R. King; and a son Larry Michael Allsep. She was a homemaker and was a member of Trinity Baptist Church and the Eastern Star. She is survived by a daughter, Judy Allsep Dodd, of Seneca; a brother, Jake Raines of Soddy Daisy, Tenn., three sisters, Frances Babb and Elzie Jolly, of Greenville, and Lucille Batson, of Travelers Rest; four grandchildren and a great grandchild. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, July 25, 2004, at 3 p.m. at the Brown-Oglesby Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Ryan Wilson officiating. Burial will follow at Oconee Memorial Park.
