Partial death notice for Ward Huntington.

"Ward Huntington was born in Vermont on October 20, 1839, spending his boyhood there. He went West during the rush to California when he was but a young man, there enlisted in a California raiment with which he served, later being discharged with the rank of first sergeant. Mr Huntington later returned to his old home in the East and was there married. The family later moved Kansas., for a time residing on a farm near Hiattville. Later they removed to this city where they have since resided. For many years past Mr. Huntington eyesight had been failing and some twelve years ago he became totally blind. Mrs. Huntington passed away a number of years ago and Mr Huntington is survived by three children. Miss Mae and Ward, Jr., who reside in this city and a son. George, who is in the ministry and in charge of a Boston pulpit. He is also survived by a brother, C. C. Huntington and a sister Miss A. C. Huntington, both of whom reside in Rochester, N. V.. and another sister, Mrs. Eugene F. Ware, of Kansas City, Kansas. The latter arrived here this afternoon called by the new of his death. The son is expected to arrive tomorrow from Boston, but on account of their age the brother and sister from Rochester will be unable to be here. The deceased was a nephew to the late Colonel Huntington, builder of the Huntington hotel, now the Masonic cathedral, and one of the early day residents of Fort Scott and a cousin to Frank Huntington, also of this city."
