MULLINS - Mrs. Lydia Mae Turner Buffkin, 76, wife of Jessie Buffkin, died Monday, July 1, 2019 at her home after a brief illness.
Mae was born May 17, 1943 in Mullins, the daughter of the late Alexander Turner and the late Lydia Turner Taylor. She had retired from AVM. Mae loved to Shag.
Surviving Mae in addition to her husband of the home are a daughter, Connie Annette Edwards of Dillon; a brother, Charlie Turner of Conway; 4 granddaughters: and 6 great grandchildren.
Mae was predeceased by a son, Russell Thomas “Rusty” Edwards and two brothers, Ernest Turner and Lavern Turner.
Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon, July 4th at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Cox-Collins Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Red Hill Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
