A. W. Booth, 86, passed away on June 30, 2019 at his home in Dallas Texas. He was born on July 18, 1932 in Cross Plains, Texas to George B. and Ruby Booth.
He grew up in Cross Plains and graduated from Cross Plains High School. After high school he joined the Army, fought in the Korean War, and earned the rank of Corporal.
A. W. married the love of his life, Dorothy, and her five children in 1964. He retired from Pepsi after over 30 years of service.
He served as Deacon for many years at Grace Temple Baptist Church in Dallas and after retirement, volunteered at North Texas Food Bank for several years.
A. W. was a fun-loving husband and dad who loved family get togethers for birthdays and holidays. In his younger years he was an avid fisherman and hunter.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife of 50 years, Dorothy and son Ron Lucky.

The family will greet friends and relatives during visitation 5-7 P M Monday, July 8, 2019, at Jeter & Son Funeral Home, 4830 W Illinois Avenue, Dallas.
The Funeral service will be at 10 A M Tuesday, July 9, 2019, at Grace Temple Baptist Church, 831 W 10th Dallas, 75208. Burial the same day following the service at 11:30 A M at the DFW National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations in A W's memory to Grace Temple Baptist Church.
