Excerpt--86, of Star City, died June 4, at Hattie Hall's Nursing Home, Arthurdale, WV. She was born Nov. 24, 1887, in Preston Co., d/o the late Benjamin and Minnie Combs Shay. Surviving are three sons, Willis O. Pyles of Star City, C. Franklin Pyles of Westover and Fred D. Pyles of Parkersburg; two daughters, Mrs. Beulah Fields of Kingwood and Mrs. Edith Buckley of Greensville, Miss.; three brothers, Aubrey Shay of Fellowsville, Charles Shay of Athens, Ohio, and Ezra Shay of Tunnelton; one sister, Mrs. Vonda Taylor of Newburg. Her husband, William, preceded her in death as did one son and three sisters. Burial was in the East Oak Grove Cemetery, Morgantown, WV.
