On Monday afternoon the remains of Mrs. John Temple were laid to rest in the Lutheran Cemetery. The deceased was a daughter of George Hostler and has for years been afflicted with spinal disease. Death was a welcomed visitor, releasing her from the distress that few knew she suffered. By this at of Providence six children have been deprived of their best friend on earth. In the absence of the regular pastor Rev. Settlemyer preached a very appropriate sermon from Deuteronomy xxxiii-27.

SINKING VALLEY DOINGS
Mrs. John Temple died at her home in the Valley last Sunday morning about four o'clock. Mrs. Temple was a daughter of George Hostler and was about thirty-four years of age. She was buried at the Brick church on Monday afternoon at two o'clock. She leaves a husband and a family of small children, the youngest being but a few days old.
