______________
Shirley (Orwig) Agee, of Crofton, passed away at the age of 88 on July 13, 2017.
Shirley grew upon Orange Street in Northumberland, PA, before moving to Baltimore. She was a homemaker who raised five children in Glen Burnie, MD. Shirley worked for the Anne Arundel County library system, mainly at the Glen Burnie and Crofton branches, as a library technician until her retirement.
Shirley enjoyed traveling, attending the Baltimore Symphony, playing the piano and activities with her church, Community United Methodist Church of Crofton, where she sang in the choir. As an armchair quarterback, she embraced the Ravens after the move of her beloved Colts.
She was well known by family and friends as "the best pie maker in the world", with crab cakes as a close 2nd place...
Shirley's children are Robert (Remy) of Crofton, MD, Randall (Diane) of Gualla, CA, Debra Agee-Burton (Bruce Burton) of Santa Rosa, CA, Donald C. (deceased), and Jeffrey Agee (Judy Schanel) of Greensboro, NC. Shirley delighted in her seven grandchildren and was delightfully amazed that she had ten great-grandchildren.
She will have a small, family ceremony at her Church and internment at her family cemetery in Northumberland, PA. Donations are welcome in Shirley's honor to: Hospice of the Chesapeake, 90 Ritchie Hyw., Pasadena, MD 21122 or Community United Methodist Church of Crofton, 1690 Riedel Rd., Crofton, MD 21114
