Services for Lula Mae Scudder, 86, of Spur, were at 11 a.m. Tuesday, December 6, 1994, in the First Baptist Church with Rev. Genoa Goad, church pastor, and Rev. Norris Taylor, Idalou, formerly of Spur, officiating.
Burial was in Spur Memorial Cemetery under direction of Campbell Funeral Home.

She died December 3, 1994 in the Crosbyton Clinic Hospital. She was born April 7, 1908 in Whitt, Texas and had lived in Dickens County for the past 50 years. She married C.P. (Johnny) Scudder in Mineral Wells on June 1, 1929. He preceded her in death on December 27, 1991.

Mrs. Scudder was the former owner of a women's apparel shop, Lulene's. She was a member of the Eastern Star. She was a Baptist and was active in the Women's Missionary Union and has been recognized for teaching Sunday School for over 50 years.

Survivors include one daughter, Janet Scudder of New York, NY; seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

A son, Bob Horton, preceded her in death in 1989.
