Charley Fuller Dies Sunday Morning Following Stroke
Funeral Services Held At Winkelmeyer Chapel Wednesday Afternoon
Charley O. Fuller, who had been in ill health for the past two years, died at his home south of Salisbury Sunday morning following a stroke of paralysis on Saturday. He was 82 years of age.
He was married August 12, 1897 to Mrs. Amelia Moore. The couple celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary this year.
Besides his wife, Mr. Fuller is survived by two brothers, Albert and Marsh Fuller of Denver, Colorado, and a number of nieces and nephews.
He was a member of the Armstrong Methodist Church.
The Rev. J. Leslie Hartz, pastor of the Salisbury Methodist Church conducted the funeral services which were held at Winkelmeyer Chapel at 2:30 o'clock Wednesday afternoon. Music was furnished by Mrs. Leroy Arnsperger and Mrs. John Culler, accompanied by Mrs. William Hollis pianist. Pall bearers were Billy Jeff Mott, Tony Ireland, Leroy Gooch, Frank Eryeard (?), Daniel Gooch and Jim Mott. Burial was in the Roanoke Cemetery.
