The youngster had attended Spur schools up until about two years ago when ill health forced him to withdraw.
Rev. W.V. Bentley, pastor of the Assembly of God Church, Spur, officiated. He was assisted by Rev. Ben Walls, Levelland.
Born in Fletcher, OK in 1946, the Tilley boy came to Dickens County with his parents at the age of one year. He was a member of the Four-Square Gospel Church.
Survivors include his parents; two sisters, Beverly Faye and Vickie Joyce Tilley; one half sister, Joyce Janice Coley, Detroit, Mich; seven brothers, L.Z., Bobby, Ronnie Edward, Bruce Wayne, Donnie Eugene, Roy Leon and Johnny Don; maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Hale, Spur and paternal grandfather, J.O. Tilley, Stillwater, OK.
Interment was in Spur Cemetery.
