LEWIS FISHER of Winter Park, FL died of Alzheimer's Disease at Vitas Hospice. He was the son of Edward L and Gertrude V Fisher. Lew was a U.S. Air Force veteran, graduated from Clemson University with a degree in Electrical Engineering and worked for the U.S. Army/STRICOM. He obtained additional degrees at FIT (MBA) and Rollins College (Certified Financial Planner). He was a dedicated volunteer at the Episcopal Church of Good Shepherd Food Bank. Preceded in death by 1 sister and 2 brothers, surviving are his wife of 40 years, Betty Dowdy Fisher (married 8/11/1973 in Greensboro, NC); Betty's children whom he adopted, son, James Fisher, daughter, Kathy Fisher; adopted daughter, Savanna Fisher (great granddaughter); grandchildren, Michael, Phillip and Morgan. A Celebration of Life Service will be held July 3, 2014 at St Richard's Episcopal Church in Winter Park with Reverend Alison Harrity officiating. Published in the Orlando Sentinel from June 18, 2014.
