Auvil Rites Are Friday

MINERAL - Daniel Merrill Auvil, 73, a Mineral resident for 27 years, passed away early Monday morning in a Morton nursing home following a short illness.
Mr. Auville was born Oct. 27, 1884, in West Virginia, and was a retired logger.
In addition to his wife, Rebecca, at home, the deceased is survived by three sons, C. K. Auvil, Romeo, Mich., K. W. Auvil, Whidbey Island, and Major Daniel M. Auvil Jr., Madigan hospital, Fort Lewis; two daughters, Mrs. Pearl Thompson, Puyallup, and Mrs. Lydia Arnott, Orick, Calif.; four brothers, Jesse Auvil, bremerton, John R., Elbe, Oscar O., Entiat, and Wallace Auvil, West Virginia; three half-brothers, Art Auvil, U, S, Marines, Japan; Merrill, Mossyrock, and Grady Auvil, Riffe; one sister, Mrs. Martha Randle, Washington D.C.; and one grandchild.
Funeral services will be Friday at 11 a.m., at the Mineral Presbyterian church with the Rev. Harry M. Richmond officiating. Interment will follow at the Friendship Memorial Gardens, Tacoma.
Arrangements are under the Fissell mortuary in Chehalis.
