Obituary of Willie M. "Billy" Kitchens
Funeral services for Mr. Willie M. "Billy" Kitchens, age 90, are scheduled for 2 PM Sunday, July 30, 2017 at Golden Funeral Home with Dr. L. H. McCollough and Bro. Tim Post officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 4 PM until 6 PM Saturday, July 29 at Golden Funeral Home.
Mr. Kitchens, a retired employee of International Paper Company, passed away Monday, July 24, 2017 at the age of 90. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church and No Dogs Hunting Club. He loved to hunt, fish and he was an expert at making fishing jigs.
He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Virginia Kitchens; children, Carl E. Kitchens, Janice Carroll, Lynn Wall; sisters, Barbara Sellin, Alvene Turner, Helen Mayo; brother, Arvell Kitchens; six grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.
Mr. Kitchens is preceded in death by his parents, Willie Elijah and Jelvie Kitchens; children, Dennis Kitchens, Johnnie Pitarro; sisters, Algene Boatner, Zana Ezernack, Margaret Porter.
