Robert R. McBrayer, 86, of Roxton passed away Monday, May 26, 2008, at Paris Regional Medical Center.
Fry-Gibbs Funeral Home conducts Masonic graveside services at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 28, at Pecan Gap Cemetery.
The family receives friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
He was born Sept. 1, 1921, in Delta County, a son of Larkin W. and Willie Kate Hollon McBrayer. He married Joyce Dorough in Roxton. He served his country in the United States Army Air Corp. He was a heavy equipment mechanic, a cabinet maker, member of the Masonic Lodge in Roxton and was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce McBrayer; two children, Dewayne Howard, and wife, Linda, and Rita Hindman, and husband, David; grandchildren, Dakota, Dustin, Kristen, and Chloe; sisters, V. Jeraldine Berry, of Carrollton, and Joyce Davidson, of Deport; brother-in-law, Sherley Berry; and sister-in-law, Bedena McBrayer, of Irving.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Edgar "Pete" McBrayer; and a sister, Katherine Regan.
Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Roxton Masonic Lodge.
If desired, memorials may be made to the Roxton Masonic Lodge.
