Services for Charles E. Hardy, 74, of 322 High St., will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at McCloskey-Hamilton-Gundrum Funeral Home. He died at 2:08 p.m. Friday at the intersection of Ind. 218 and the Kokomo Pike after he was injured in a traffic accident. Born Jan. 26, 1919, in Carroll County, he was the son of Quincy A. and Elisabeth B. Neff Hardy. On June 22, 1946, in Logansport, he was married to Anna L. Starkey, who survives. Mr. Hardy retired in 1982 after 16 years as a janitor at the Logansport State Hospital. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Army. Mr. Hardy was a member of the Logansport Eagles Lodge.

Also surviving are four daughters, Bonnie Farris, 423 Cole St., Linda Farris, 432 Bartlett St., Liz Hardy, 322 High St., and Edith Nance, New Waverly; one son, Daniel, 834 Melbourne Ave.; two sisters, Jane Lee, Rt. 2, and Mabel Nethercutt, 118 Seventh St.; two brothers, Marion Hardy, Rt. 6, and Truman R. Hardy, 327 Cole St.; eight grandchildren; and five step grandchildren. Two daughters preceded him in death.

The Rev. William Art Maloney will officiate the services. Burial will be in the Mount Hope Cemetery Legion Circle, with full military graveside rites. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home, where an Eagles service will be held at 7 p.m.
