Eugene Chaffin, 60, of Ashville, died June 22, 2007, at Berger Hospital. He was born April 30, 1947, in Kingston, the son Dave and Grace (Adams) Chaffin. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother John Chaffin and sisters Anna Vanhorn and Effie Adams. He is survived by his wife, Mariles (Tolentino) Chaffin; sons, Jamie (Heidie) Chaffin of Chillicothe and David Chaffin of Lancaster; daughter, Tara (Matt) Smith of West Jefferson; grandchildren, Brittani, Kaitlin and Austin Chaffin and Kylar Smith; brothers, Ray, Orville and Rev. Fred Chaffin of Kingston, Arnold (Libby) Chaffin of Logan and Bill (Patty) Chaffin of Washington C.H.; and sister, Bonnie (Ronald) Robinson of Kingston. Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Monday, June 25, 2007, at the Rising Son Church, Hayesville Rd., Kingston with Rev. Fred Chaffin officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Kingston. Friends may call from 2-6 p.m. Sunday, June 24, 2007, at the WELLMAN FUNERAL HOME, Circleville.
