Amelia Kenkel, daughter of John Peter Kenkel and Margaret Schmitz Kenkel, was born January 22, 1886, at Weisherdinger, Luxumbourg. She died from a heart attack at her home in Earling, Iowa, August 21 1955. Her age was 69 years, six months and 29 days.
She was married to August Goeres at Earling, Iowa, August 8, 1911. A son, Isadore, and two daughters, Marie and Sylvia, were born to this marriage.
Surviving are the son, Isadore, at Earling, two daughters, Mrs. Alphonse (Marie) Goeser and Mrs. Al (Sylvia) Gaul, also of Earling and six grandchildren.
Funeral Services were held from St. Joseph's Church at Earling with Msgr. Peter A. Bissen in charge. Burial was in St. Joseph's cemetery. Pauley's Funeral Home was in charge.
