Sent to Burton Wood Air Depot in England to "Station X". As a civilian helped to establish a B17 aircraft engine overhaul, radio and instrument repair facility "Keeping 'em Flying". Joined the Army Air Corps where he served for the duration of the war. Preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Adella Fargason Crumley; his wife, Florence Ripple; and four brothers and two sisters.
