The latter coming to Cass County in 1833. Robert married Ida Estelle Severns ca. 1879. Ransom was a farmer in Cass County his entire life. He was the father of nine children: Irving/1880, Bessie/1882, Ruth/1883, Duannah/1885, Cora H./1887, Hazel E./1888, Arthur R./1890, Howard K./1894, Helen e./1899. He is buried next to his wife who died in 1909.
