Jacob T. Walters of Columbus, Ga., formerly of Charleston, died Feb. 7 in Columbus.
Funeral services were held Sunday at Striffler-Hamby Chapel. Burial was in Evergreen Memory Gardens in Columbus.
Mr. Walters was born Jan. 23, 1895, in Summerville, a son of Jacob Walters and Mrs. Hannah Mitchell Walters. He was a Mason.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Louise Gentry Walters of Rome, Ga.; three daughters, Mrs. Henry W. Wiggins, Mrs. A. J. Galloway, both of Columbus, and Mrs. P. C. Lowe of Greenville; a step-daughter, Mrs. Eula May Miller of Raleigh, N. C.; two sons, J. T. Walters Jr. of Panama City, Fla., and M. Eugene Walters of Jacksonville, Fla.; two sisters, Mrs. Annie Warren and Mrs. Lily Ridgeway, both of Charleston; 14 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
