Mrs. Anna Ruth Dietzel, 98, a resident of Union City, died Sunday morning, June 23, 2019, at Baptist Hospital-Union City.

Funeral services will be held at 3 PM Tuesday at White-Ranson Funeral Home, with Dr. Doug Norflett and Rev. Jim Calhoun officiating, Burial will follow in East View Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Devon Cranford. Colin Bennett, Nathan King, Bill Townes, Mack Ashburn and Bob Montgomery. Honorary Pallbearers will be Bill Townes Sr., J.B. Parker Jr. Jim Thorpe and members of the Margaret Carter Sunday School Class of First United Methodist Church.

The family will receive friends from 1 PM until the hour of service Tuesday at White-Ranson.

The family request that memorials go to the Knit Wits at First United Methodist Church or the First United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Dietzel was born July 26, 1920 in Rives daughter of the late Wesley and Sally (Stovall) Bell. She married Herman "Dink" Dietzel July 26, 1940, he passed away April 11, 2002. Mrs. Dietzel was retired from the former Brown Shoe Co. and a member of the First United Methodist Church,where she was a member of the Margaret Carter Sunday School class and served as a Sunday School teacher.

She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law Martha Carole and Bob Nichols of Union City. Two grandchildren and their spouses Sally and Chris King of Union City;Brent and Heather Nichols Longmont CO. Eight great grandchildren Devin Cranford; Rebecca King; Lillian Nichols; Katie (Colin) Bennett; Martha Nichols Andrew Wesley Miller; Nathan King and Collin King. One great grandson Beckham Bennett and several nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded by a granddaughter Becky Miller one sister Buline Bell and a brother Jack Bell.
