Seth Theodore Anderson was born July 16, 1930 in Yonkers, Oklahoma to Odes Ray and Ida Thomas (Jenkins) Anderson. He departed this life at his home on Thursday, November 15, 2018 at the age of 88 years, 3 months, and 30 days.
Theodore grew up and attended schools in the Yonkers area. He has lived in the Locust Grove area all of his life. He lived in Salina for a short time and has lived at his current homeplace for over 23 years. On May 27, 1982, in Miami, Oklahoma, Theodore and Georgie Josephine Kennedy were united in marriage. The couple had been married for over 36 years.
Theodore owned and operated a dump truck and backhoe service for many years. He worked hard and enjoyed his time hauling gravel, installing septic systems, and digging lateral lines. He enjoyed being outside where he would go hunting, fishing, and work in his garden.
Theodore loved his family dearly and treasured time spent with them. He thoroughly enjoyed doing anything with his grandchildren and was known to have one of them ride with him on his tractor or backhoe. Most of all, Theodore loved his wife deeply and would do anything for her. He will be missed dearly by all that knew and loved him.
Theodore is survived by: his wife, Georgie, and great granddaughter, Karah Rutherford, both of the home; 7 children: John Anderson and wife Linda, Seth Anderson and wife Jennie, Ronnie Anderson and wife Sandra, Daisy Mae Brown and husband Gary, Elaine Van Brunt and husband Ron, Karen Anderson and husband Mark King, and Joe Drywater; 5 step-children: Bill Conway and wife Cristine, Danny Conway and wife Gennie, Tony Conway and wife Toni, Anna Parker, and Roni Conway and wife Lori; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren; 6 brothers: Junior Anderson and wife Minnie, J. D. Anderson and wife Margie, Tom Anderson, Richard Anderson and wife Kathy, and Odean Anderson and wife Sheila; 2 sisters: Mary Lou Simpson and husband Jerry and Charlotte Fisher. He was preceded in death by: his parents; 2 brothers: Jimmy Anderson and Doyle Anderson; and 2 sisters: Laverne Gout and Vonda Simpson.
Funeral services were held 2:00 P.M., Monday, November 19, 2018 at the Four Corners Church of God of Apostolic Faith. Reverend Rick Condit officiated. Interment followed at the Gray Cemetery near Peggs, Oklahoma. Services were entrusted to the Locust Grove Funeral Home.
