Charles L. Goodsell, age 83, of Council Bluffs, passed away June 21, 2019 at Risen Son Christian Village.
Chuck was born July 1, 1935 in North Platte, Nebraska to the late Lynn E. and Louise (Zimmer) Goodsell. He graduated from Abraham Lincoln High School in 1953. Chuck married Carol Sue Larsen on October 20, 1954 in Wahoo, Nebraska. They were blessed with five children, Barbara, Douglas, David, Daniel and Bryan. Chuck and his father owned and operated L and C Ford Implement until 1985. Chuck then went to work as superintendent of grounds for Bluffs Run Casino, retiring in 2002. He was a member of Sherwood Community Church and the Optimist Club.
In addition to his parents, Chuck was preceded in death by his wife, Carol Sue Goodsell on June 18, 2019.
Chuck is survived by his daughter, Barb (Mike) Dale of Papillion, Nebraska; sons, Doug (Jolene) Goodsell of Omaha, Dave (Teresa) Goodsell of Council Bluffs, Dan (Jody) Goodsell of Omaha, Bryan (Dawn) Goodsell of Neola, Iowa; 12 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren; sister, Bonnie (Willie) Nuzum of Council Bluffs; many nieces and nephews.
