Craig Morley Armstrong, Jr., 57, of Ottawa passed away peacefully from leukemia at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria on June 6, 2019. Private memorial services will be held at a later date. Ottawa Funeral Home & Crematory has been entrusted with cremation rites.

Craig was born October 5, 1961 in Ottawa to Craig Morley Armstrong, Sr. and Maralee Rae Johnsen.

Craig was an avid outdoor sportsman, world traveler, history buff, and film and music enthusiast. He will be remembered for his love of nature and animals, quick wit, and expansive intellect.

He is survived by his mother, Maralee; sister, Nancy (Bill) Tippett; brothers, James (Janell) Armstrong, and Drs. Matthew (Kari) Gretencord; and many beloved nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Craig and his grandparents, [John and Vera (Morley) Armstrong, and] Adolph and Mary [(Zipay)] Johnsen.

In lieu of flowers and cards, donations to OSF St. Francis in Peoria would be appreciated by all who loved him.
