She was a member of Trinity Methodist church, an honorary member of the Elkhart Women's club, and was an active member of the Home Culture club.
She was born in Cambridge City, Ind., May 8, 1869. She and Mr. Stahr, her classmate, were married there on Jan. 1, 1895.
Mr. Stahr died Feb. 1, 1951. He had been associated with the Elkhart newspapers for 50 years. He served with The Truth for 27 years as city editor, editorial page writer and reporter. He retired in 1945.
Survivors with the daughter are two sons, Robert L., president of Martin Band Instrument Co., Elkhart, and John W., vice president of Carl Byoir and Associates, Inc., New York public relations firm; another daughter, Mrs. Enoch (Margaret) Turnock, Montevallo, Ala., and 9 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday in the Hartzler-Gutermuth Funeral home, in charge of the Rev. B. Brooks Shake. Burial will be in Grace Lawn cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 o'clock tonight and after 7 p.m. Thursday, and until the hour of the service Friday.
