Rosabell E. Gansemer , age 87, of Auburn, Iowa, passed away on Thursday, February 8, 2007, at the Stewart Memorial Community Hospital in Lake City, Iowa.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, February 12th, at Peace Lutheran Church in Wall Lake with Pastor Roger Carlisle officiating. Burial will be at Luckow Cemetery in Auburn under the direction of the Farber & Otteman Funeral Home.

Visitation is from 4:00-7:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 11th at the funeral home in Wall Lake.

Rosabell Emma Bauer was born on November 19, 1919, on a farm near Auburn, Iowa, the daughter of Henry and Kathryn (Mohr) Bauer. Rosie was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith, attended country school, and was a member of Peace Lutheran Church in Wall Lake.

Rosie was united in marriage to Earl George. Two children were born to this union: Judy and Bruce. Earl was killed serving his country during World War II. Rosie later married Matt Gansemer and three children were born to this union: Ron, Don, and Kathy.

Rosie was a loving mother and grandmother who cherished her family. She was always there for her children. She loved to celebrate all their birthdays and enjoyed attending their many activities in school when they were younger. She also enjoyed jigsaw puzzles, embroidery, and traveling. Her trips to Morocco and Hawaii were her favorites.

Survivors include her children: Judy Timmerman and husband Richard of Ankeny, IA, Bruce George and wife Mollie of Joplin, MO, Ron Gansemer and his twin brother Don Gansemer and wife Annie all of Auburn, IA, and Kathy Gansemer and husband Warren of Denver, CO. Other survivors include nine grandchildren: Susan Smith, Terri McGuire, Tom Timmerman, Doug Timmerman, Jaci, Grant, and Hope Gansemer, Ernie Barnett, and Kathy Parker; 13 great-grandchildren: Kaylie and Kelsey McGuire, Tyler, Maura, and Emma Timmerman, Amanda, Meghan, and Sydney Smith, Taylor and Spencer Timmerman, and Nicole, Zackary, and Johnathan Barnett; and many extended family members.

Rosie was preceded in death by her parents; both husbands: Earl George and Matt Gansemer; two brothers: Fred and Chris Bauer; and five sisters: two in infancy, Elizabeth Diekmann, Elsabe Gerdes, and Christina Anderson.
