A quiet man, who never said a bad word about anyone. If he didnot have something good to say, he remained quiet.
He loved his family and his grandchildren. He served on the USS Shoshonee in WWI. He served a short time as mayor of the city of Mansfield in the 1940s.
When the war was over, he returned to Mansfield and worked alongside his father, John Calvin Brown, in the cotton ginning business. Later, Grover would work with his son Johnny in the feed store business, unti his retirement.
He edified what a real person should act like.
