On Tuesday, June 18th, 2019, C. Carolyn Boyd, a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, sister, wife and aunt passed away at the age of 81, the last of seven siblings.
She was born on March 18, 1938 in Tuttle, AR to John and Minnie (Ward) Gage.
Carolyn lived and loved her full life in Madison County. She had many smaller jobs throughout her career but was a proficient seamstress for nearly thirty years. She was an avid reader, passionate about her family and their hobbies and expressed her love to each of her family through her incredible cooking. She worked tirelessly so that each person had their own special meal for every birthday (kids, in-laws and grandchildren.) With sweets as her specialty, she would spend hours making enough homemade Christmas candy each year to share with neighbors, co-workers and all of her family. Being an exceptional mother and grandmother is her enduring legacy.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Norman A. Boyd and her six siblings, Ralph Gage, Kenneth Gage, Bobby Gage, Billy “Willy” Gage, Nelda Kulka and Doris Streit.
She is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Rhonda and John Napier, Beverly and Robert Hodges and one son and daughter-in-law, Russell and Donna Boyd, two grandchildren and their spouses, Jeremy and Lauren Erwin and Jessica and Joe Lingar, three great grandchildren, Jerry Hodges, Remi Erwin and Ryker Erwin.
Graveside services will be at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, June 22, 2019 at Cherry Creek Cemetery in Wesley, Arkansas under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home.
