Ernest Jackson Mikesell 1884-1896 [From an audio tape recording of Ern's funeral. This was read by his minister.]

"Ernest Mikesell was born in Kamas, Utah in the year 1884. He was one of a family of 11 children. Later he moved to Chapin Idaho when he was 15 years old. After finishing his schooling in Chapin, he went to live with his Uncle in Ora, Idaho. When he was 21 years of age he filed on a piece of land and there he took up farming and lived there until he was 42 years of age in 1926.

It was in 1920 that he married at the age of 35. Shortly after, he and his wife moved to Los Angeles California. There he worked at the Fruhoff plant. It was there in California that he lost his wife through death.

When Ernest was 73 he was still working. He had heard that his two sisters [Mary Dean & Libbie Aller] living in Spokane needed his help. So he sold his house, quit his job and came to Spokane to live with his two sisters. They purchased a house and lived on Wellesley avenue for some time.

A few years ago, in 1980, he sold his home and he and Mary Dean, his sister, went to live in Aguila Arizona with Mary's daughter Louise Leigh.

Ernest was also a church goer. He became a Christian. In 1971 he became a member of Seventh Day Adventist Church. He died May 1, 1986 at 101 years old.
Surviving to cherish his memory are his sister Mary Dean of
Spokane, and another sister Lucille Bressler, who lives in Jackson, Wyoming. Numerous nieces and nephews. Ernest was buried at Chattaroy, Washington Cemetery."

Marriage: Emilie Cicale BOULENAZ married 18 JUN 1920 in St. Anthony, Fremont, Idaho - no children.
