Carol Sue Goodsell, age 82, of Council Bluffs, passed away June 18, 2019 at Jennie Edmundson Hospital.
Carol was born July 28, 1936 in Carson, Iowa to the late Lawrence and Lorene (Parrish) Larsen. She graduated from Missouri Valley High School in 1954 and married Charles L. Goodsell on October 20th of 1954 in Wahoo, Nebraska. They were blessed with five children, Barbara, Douglas, David, Daniel and Bryan. Carol was a licensing agent for various insurance companies throughout her career, working for Elmer Ivers, State Farm, Metropolitan and Agrisurance, retiring in 2003. She was a member of First Christian Church.
In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by her sisters, Mary Ann Christiansen, Lois Clark and Doris Reed; brother, Bruce Larsen.
Carol is survived by her husband of 64 years, Charles L. Goodsell of Council Bluffs; daughter, Barbara (Mike) Dale of Papillion, Nebraska; sons, Doug (Jolene) Goodsell of Omaha, Dave (Teresa) Goodsell of Council Bluffs, Dan (Jody) Goodsell of Omaha, Bryan (Dawn) Goodsell of Neola, Iowa; 12 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren; sister, Elaine Charleson of Council Bluffs; brother, Larry (Vicky) Larsen of Johnston, Iowa; many nieces and nephews.
