Twylah Colleen Haus, 84, a resident of Fergus Falls, died Saturday, June 15, 2019 at Lake Region Healthcare in Fergus Falls.

Twylah was born in Bordulac, ND on May 6, 1935, the daughter of Olaf and Helga (Markeson) Salvog. When Twylah was in second grade, the family moved to Milan, MN and Twylah attended school there, graduating in1953.

On June 14, 1958 she married Gregor Haus at the St. Elizabeth Catholic Church. The couple lived in Fergus Falls for a short time, until they moved to Huron, S.D. In 1965 they returned to Fergus Falls and then moved to Elizabeth in 1971, where they raised their family. Through the years, Twylah worked at Runningen’s Café, Skogmo’s Café, Lunde’s Café, Normandie Café and later worked at Perkins, until she retired in 2012 after 38 years.

She was currently a member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Fergus Falls. During the years she lived in Elizabeth, she was an active member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church, where she served on the funeral committee, was active in Christian Mothers, sang in the choir and was a eucharistic minister and lector. She was also a member of the Eagles and Elizabeth Firemen Auxiliaries.

She enjoyed reading, sewing, bowling, shopping, following the Minnesota Twins and enjoyed being a “winter Texan”.

Preceding her in death were her husband, Gregor, who died in 2005; six sisters, Ruby Skjegstad, Dora Feuerham, Lela Thompson, Rhoda Quaal, Pricella Vandekieft, Alice Janke; three brothers, Sherman, Gordon and Garfield Salvog.

Survivors include four children, Brad (special friend, Ellen) Haus of Erhard, MN, Mary (Roger) Hoff of Milbank, SD, Brook (Joyce) Haus of Fergus Falls, Janell (Kent) Jorgenson of Fergus Falls; grandchildren; Jennifer (Tim) Brown, Melissa (Dan) Stephany, Mandy (special friend, Curt) Hanneman, Monica (Adam) Petersen, Jeremy (Kara) Haus, Joshua (Kate) Haus, Jacob Jorgenson, Jayde (special friend, Chris), Yuko and Tarja; great-grandchildren, Landon and Maiah Brown, Micah, Ty and Colin Stephany, Peyton and Kacyn Hanneman, Karlie and Drew Petersen, Colin, Brodie and Hudson Haus, Griffin, Maddox and Claire Haus and Sam and Zeke Ihrke. Also surviving are extended family members and a host of friends.

Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. with a 6:30 p.m. public prayer service, Tuesday, June 18, 2019 at the funeral home. Visitation will resume one hour prior to the service at the church.
Mass of Christian Burial: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 19, 2019 at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, Fergus Falls, MN.
