Gerald was born Saturday, January, 24, 1931 in Collinsville, TX to A.W. & Lorene Carney.
Gerald joined the US Air Force in 1950 and served till 1954 being recognized with the Good Conduct Medal and the National Defense Service Medal.
Gerald married the love of his life, Gina April 14, 1953. Their union was blessed with three wonderful sons. Gerald worked as a Boilermaker for over 35 years retiring as a superintendent. This line of work brought a lot of travel and good memories for him and his family. Gerald enjoyed hunting, guns, camping, Jeopardy & westerns on tv and studying his bible. His favorite past time was making memories with his grandkids and great-grandkids.
Gerald is survived by his beloved wife, of Brownwood; 2 sons and their wives, brother, seven grandchildren, fifteen great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and friends.
Gerald was preceded in death by his parents; a son, William Scott Carney; and a brother, Carroll Leon Carney.
