Willie Stroope, 69, of Waldo, AR passed away Thursday, June 13, 2019 at his residence in Waldo.
Willie was born on November 29, 1949 in Camden, AR and was a graduate of Southern Arkansas University. Willie was co-owner and lifelong baker along with his two brothers Stephen and Joe of the Magnolia Bake Shop. He retired from the family business in 2008. He enjoyed the outdoors of camping and canoeing with his family.
Willie was preceded in death by his parents Joe and Martha (Sanderlin) Stroope and nephew Chris Stroope. He is survived by his brothers, Stephen Stroope and wife Betsy and Joe Stroope and wife Pat of Magnolia, AR; niece Shelly Jackson and husband Perry and their children Logan and Reagan of Crossett, AR.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, June 17, 2018 at the Lewis Chapel with Bro. Elvis Griffin officiating. Burial will follow at the Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home, Inc. in Magnolia, AR. Visitation will be held Sunday from 5:00 to 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Scott Glasscock, Jerry Coats, Chad Dixon, Fred Austin, Paul Holt, and Craig Benton.
The family requests memorial donations are sent to the charity of the donor’s choice.
