Bobby "Mitch" Mitchusson, 72, of Amarillo died Tuesday, June 19, 2007.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Rector Funeral Home Coulter Chapel, 8310 S. Coulter St., with Ty Jones, pastor of Cowboy Church and Arena of Life, officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mr. Mitchusson was born Sept. 11, 1934, in Hughes, Ark. He moved to Amarillo in 1955 from Forest City, Ark. He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1955 to 1959.

Mr. Mitchusson worked for the U.S. Postal Service for more than 30 years. He retired in 1989 as a clerk supervisor. After his retirement from the post office, Mitch worked at the Amarillo Globe-News in the mail room.

He married Reba Hayhurst on April 20, 1957, in Amarillo. He was a member of Cowboy Church and the Arena of Life.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Debbie Rickard and husband John and D'Lynn McDonough and husband Walt, all of Amarillo; two sisters, Carolyn Burkdoll of Ava, Mo., and Donna Eide of Phoenix; a brother, Bill Kirk of Sikeston, Mo.; three grandchildren, Kara McDonough, Alicia Clark and husband Brandon and Bobbi Rickard, all of Amarillo; a great-grandson, Keyen Clark of Amarillo; and many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be to the youth building fund, Cowboy Church and Arena of Life, P.O. Box 8977, Amarillo, TX 79114.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.
