Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Paramount Terrace Christian Church with Scott Schlotfelt officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery by Schooler Funeral Home, 4100 S. Georgia St.
Mr. Ray was born in Callahan County and moved to Amarillo in 1926. He served in the Army Air Corps during World War II. He drove a bus for Panhandle Trailways before retiring in 1987. He was a Mason, a Shriner and a member of Lions Club. He was a Christian and member of Paramount Terrace Christian Church. He married Joan Bowles in 2000 at Amarillo.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Joe H. Ray of Haslet; two stepdaughters, Barbara Houchins of Amarillo and Pamela Tritch of Beaver Creek, Ohio; a brother, Robert O. Ray of El Paso; and seven grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be to Crown of Texas Hospice, 1000 S. Jefferson St., Amarillo, TX 79101.
