Clinton Dill was born in Laclede County, Missouri, the first child of James Lafayette Dill and Sarah E. Anglin Dill. When he was a teenager, his family moved to Wagoner, Oklahoma and it is there he met and married Bessie Eva Harris. They were the parents of 4 children, Mary Ellen, Opal, William and James Lester. Clinton was stricken with a heart ailment and died when he was 53 years old. He was buried in Elmwood Cemetery in Wagoner, Oklahoma.
