Mack was the son of John L. and Mary Hanselman. He married 1st Rosa Ellen Seal, daughter of Isaac and Louisa, in Perry County, Indiana on August 29, 1889.(1) Mack and Rosa had three children: Arthur Andrew Hanselman, James Elmer Hanselman and Clarence Isaac Hanselman. Mack and Rosa divorced, and Mack married 2nd Agnes Fisher in Carter County, Oklahoma on January 19, 1896.(2) Mack and Agnes had two children: Clyde Leo Hanselman and Lillie Hanselman.(3)

Mack's first wife remarried on June 27, 1899 in Jasper, DuBois County, Indiana to Edward Simmons.(4)(5) His second wife may have married as many as three additional husbands(6)(7)(8)(9).

Clarence married Helen Riedesel. They had at least three children: Elmer C. Hanselman, Robert Hanselman and Kathryne Hanselman. Elmer served in the Army Air Corps in WW II and was a prisoner of war in Germany.(10) Elmer married 1st Mary Ethel Scherr, and together they had at least one child, James Robert Hanselman. (11) Elmer and Mary divorced, and he married 2nd Charlotte.

Mack passed away between 1897 and 1900. This researcher believes his remains were removed to Crawford County, Indiana and laid to rest near his other family members.

(7) To ascertain whether the Ross stepsons of Teter Waters in (5) above were children of Agnes Fisher Hanselman Waters from a second marriage, or another former wife of Teter Waters, a search for Teter's prior marriages revealed only a marriage to Emma, maiden name unknown, with a daughter, Lilly May Waters, residing in Cowling, Le Flore Co. Mack was the son of John L. and Mary Hanselman.
