Columbus Daily Enquirer-Sun newspaper for Friday, December 19, 1913, page 3 says MRS. CARRIE JONES DIED IN ATLANTA. Body Will Be Brought to Columbus Today for Burial. She Formerly Lived Here. Columbus relatives and friends of Mrs. Carrie Lloyd Jones, of Atlanta, formerly of Columbus, were grieved to learn of her death which occurred yesterday morning at the home of her sister, Mrs. Eliza Robinson, with whom she made her home in Atlanta. Mrs. Jones was born in Charleston, S. C., in 1830. She moved to Atlanta, after having made her home in this city for a number of years, about 20 years ago. The deceased is survived by two sisters, Mrs. T. J. Watt and Mrs. Eliza Robinson, both of Atlanta and one brother, M. E. Lloyd. The body will be brought to Columbus today for interment, arriving at 10:50 o’clock over the Central of Georgia railroad. The funeral will be conducted from the train. She was a member of St. Luke church (Methodist). Her death was due to paralysis. Same for Saturday, December 20, 1913, page 3 says MRS. CARRIE JONES FUNERAL HELD. The funeral for Mrs. Carrie Lloyd Jones, formerly of Columbus, but for several years past a resident of Atlanta, who died Thursday morning at the home of her sister, Mrs. Eliza Robinson, where she had made her home since going to Atlanta, was held yesterday morning upon the arrival of the 10:50 o’clock train. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. O. B. Chester. The interment was in Linwood cemetery. The following acted as pallbearers: F. J. Dudley, E. J. Edge, H. L. Struppa, John Blackmar, J. L. Hunt and Dana Blackmar.

Apparently an unmarked grave. If actually in the Old Cemetery section, probably in Lloyd family lot, which is Lot 2 of Autry's Section G (see Autry book on Historic Linwood Cemetery, Volume 2), where her parents probably are also buried in unmarked graves. If Carrie is instead buried in the New Cemetery area, she's probably in the same lot with her husband, Lt. Joseph J. Jones (d. 1865), which is Lots 784 and 777 in Section 2 of the city plan, same as other Lloyd family lot, Lot 68 of Autry's Section F.
