James worked at Wausau Paper for most of his adult life as a lift truck driver in the receiving department until retirement. He enjoyed golfing, deer hunting, as well as playing baseball and slow-pitch for the Blatz Bombers.
James is survived by his wife Kathy Schwartzman of Merrill, daughter Dana (Gary Hegewald) Schwartzman of Plover, brothers: Don (Gayle) Schwartzman of Merrill and Harry Schwartzman of Arizona and sister: Joan Beyer of Merrill. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers: Robert, Tom and Wally Schwartzman and sister: Marlene Woellner.
Entombment for James will take place at Restlawn Memorial Park in Wausau.
