Mr. Merryman was born 10 Aug. 1898, in Laredo, MO. He came to Sioux City in 1916. He married Lydia Lowry 5 Aug. 1918, in Sioux City.
He was employed by Milwaukee Railroad for 52 years, retiring in 1966. He was a member of Carmen of America 72.
Survivors include his wife, Lydia; 3 sons, Charles "Chick", Clayton "Spud", both of Sioux City & Richard of South Sioux City, NE.; a daughter, Mrs. Edith Mahnke of Sioux City; 1 sister, Mrs. Clytia Mitchell of San Diego, CA.; 6 grandchildren & 16 great-grandchildren.
