Emma "Jean" Brown, 76, of Anderson, passed away on June 5, 2019, at St. Vincent Anderson Hospital.
She was born on Oct. 2, 1942, in Livingston, Tennessee, and resided most of her life in Anderson.
Jean graduated from Anderson High School.
She retired from the Bureau of Motor Vehicles after 12 years of service.
Jean is survived by her loving daughter and favorite son-in-law, Robin and Craig (Criswell) Newman of Taylorsville, Kentucky; sister and favorite brother-in-law, Crissie and Greg Bernard of Anderson; grandchildren, Thomas (Jasmine) Newman and Matthew (Lacey) Newman; and great-granddaughter, Peyton Newman. Also surviving are her special nephews, Kyle Bernard and Dustin (fiance, Callie)Bernard; and best friend, Zell Forrester.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Brown; great-granddaughter, Willow Newman; parents, Bernice and L. P Brown; and brother, Randy Brown.
Visitation will be held Sunday, June 9, 2019, from 2 to 6 p.m. at Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, 200 W. 53rd St., Anderson.
Services will follow visitation at 6 p.m. at the funeral hom
