Burton E. Benedict, 66, of 1426 Oak St., died Tuesday at 2:25 p.m. at Mercy Medical Center.

He was born in Oshkosh on July 1, 1903, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles R. Benedict, and was married here in 1953 to Estelle Nyman.

Mr. Benedict had been employed in the carpenter shop at Winnebago State Hospital.

Surviving are his widow; one stepdaughter, Mrs. Phyllis Conklin, Fond du Lac; one stepson, Arthur Reinke, Oshkosh; one sister, Mrs. Earl Bending, Oshkosh, and two brothers, Roy and Claude Benedict, Oshkosh.

Services will be held Friday at 1:30 p.m. at Seefeld Funeral Home, with the Rev. Alexander Weinbender, pastor of Christ Lutheran Church, officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday from 7-9 p.m.
