Family was very important to Dorothy. She liked to go camping, fishing, and bowling and was very involved in 4-H. She did a lot of handiwork, especially knitting.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints where she held various positions in the church. Her faith was very important to her.
Dorothy was a very loving and thoughtful person throughout her life. She always thought of others and not herself. She was always known for her sweet and loving personality and sense of humor.
The love of her life was her husband, Lowry, who took care of her the last few years of her life. They were married for 67 years.
She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Aldo Childs, Adrian Childs, Delbert Childs, Richard Childs, Rex Childs, Max Childs, Parker Childs; sisters, Alta Childs and Elouise Moffitt.
She is survived by her husband, Lowry; daughters, Della (Duane) Marble of Corinne, Utah and Pauline (Roy) Wood of Delta, Utah; eight grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wed., June 20, 2007 at 1 p.m. at the Millsite Ward Chapel - 35 West 200 North, Ferron, Utah. A viewing will be held Tues. June 19, 2007 from 6-8 p.m. at Fausett Mortuary in Castle Dale, and also one hour prior to services at the chapel. Interment will be in the Ferron City Cemetery under the direction of Fausett Mortuary.
