Robert D. Erps
Robert D. Erps, 74 formerly of Court Place, died at 11:22 a.m. Thursday, July 28, 1988, in the Pekin Convalescent Center.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in the Woolsey Funeral Home. Dr. Robert S. White will officiate. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Born Nov. 11, 1913, in Beason, he was the son of Alfred and Bessie Simpson Erps. He married Maudie Peak July 6, 1966, in Pekin. She died Sept. 5, 1979, in Pekin.
Surviving are one stepson, Gilman Peak of Pekin; two stepdaughters, Mrs. John (Bonnie) Henderson of SanJose and Mrs. Thomas (Rose) Buchanan of Pekin; eight stepgrandchildren; and seven stepgreat-grandchildren.
Surviving also are nine brothers, Raymond, Donald and Howard Erps, all of Pekin, Cecil of Lexington, Clifford of Petersburg, James of Hackensack, Minn., Edmond of Westside, Iowa, Kenneth of Chicago and Clarence Erps; and two sisters, Mrs. Ted (Doris) Takeda of Elk Grove and Betty Scott of Pekin.
One stepson, four brothers, and two sisters preceded him in death.
Mr. Erps was a member of Pekin Eagles Lodge. He had retired from Allied Mills in Bartonville after working there many years.
