Thomas Lee Salter, also knowed as Red, was a great man. He was loved by his wife, 8 children, 30 Grandchildren. 49 Great Grand children as well as many Great Great Grand Children Although he came from simple beginnings, Thomas worked hard all his life. He was a strong and loving, father, grandfather, and husband.
He was born on October 26,1927 to Joseph Harris Salter and Minnie Lee Salter on a small farm in a rural area of Oconee, Washington County, Georgia. When he grew up he worked as a logger. He also pick cotton and worked in the cotton mill.
In 1950, Thomas decided to moved his wife and children to FL. He became a block mason working 8 hours a day, five days a week in the hot sun providing for his family.
He loved gardening, hunting, fishing, and animals. Thomas also loved singing, playing the guitar. He loved listening to blue grass music. One of his favorite hymens that he loved to sing in church was The Old Rugged Cross. His favorite bible verse was Psalms 23:4 “Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.”

2 daughters Janice Jackson, Mary Jane Salter, and 1 Grandson's Donnie Johnson,
1 Great Grandson Clarence Lloyd White, 2 son in law's Lee Radke and James L Jackson
